Madinatul Ilm School offers Islamic studies for kids in Calgary in the Shia (Twelver / Ithna Ashari) tradition. Children learn their beliefs, fiqh, akhlaq, and the lives of the Prophet (s) and the Imams (a.s.) in a warm, age-appropriate way that builds their Islamic identity and roots them in their faith as they grow up in Canada.
What students learn
- Aqeedah (belief): knowing Allah (swt), the Prophets, and the Imams (a.s.)
- Practical fiqh: wudhu, salat, and fasting
- Akhlaq and Islamic values in everyday life
- Seerah: stories of the Prophets and the lives of the Prophet (s) and Ahlul Bayt (a.s.)
